Child-free Vacation in the Dominican Republic
For our fifth wedding anniversary, my husband and I decided to celebrate the occasion by ourselves. Normally, every year we throw a small party and after that have a romantic dinner. This time, we wanted to try something different and I suggested we take a little trip to the Caribbean. My mom offered to look after our daughter while we were away. This vacation would be just the two of us.
After a lot of research, we settled on a vacation in the Dominican Republic. It’s a fun island with lots of places to see and activities to engage in. We stayed at the Catalonia Royal Bavaro, a luxury hotel exclusively for adults. The hotel is located off a secluded bay on Cabeza de Toro beach and has relaxation and activities.
The Catalonia Royal Bavaro is a lovely hotel. They offer personalized service and have lots of activities for their guests. They’re also sensitive to guests’ moods. They go out of their way to include you in various activities but if you prefer to be left alone, they make sure no one bothers you.
Our suite was fabulous. It was very comfortable and had this huge bed right in the middle. We also had our very own terrace with a hammock that we could just lounge in whenever we wanted to relax. The fridge in our room was stocked daily and I must compliment room service on the excellent cleaning job each day.
There are lots of restaurants in the hotel and the food is simply amazing. We spent most of our days on the white-sand beach, which was not too crowded. The recreation staff in the hotel conducted lots of activities while we were there. We even got to go swimming with sharks. I had a total blast at the hotel and my husband and I are going to come back next year. With our daughter of course.
