What Is VoIP Security?

Security is an obvious concern when it comes to any sort of technology, but even more so with any technology that is run through the Internet. Because VoIP runs through the Internet any information can be intercepted by anyone at any time. Because many things go through phone line, private information can wind up in the hands of the wrong person. Obviously, nothing is a one hundred percent guarantee because as fast as technology is made to keep information from getting in the wrong hands, the wrong hands are working to figure out how to break through those systems. In 2006 we will see micro-biologists float what would have been unheard of just years ago, that we plant microbial life on Mars that will feed off of what is there and produce oxygen as their by-product. We will hear of possibilities and theories of taking complex life forms on earth, which can live without oxygen and place them in the most favorable places for their species on Mars to see if they will colonize and cut out their own niche. We will here ideas of using waves to generate tremblers and cause seismic activity to release volcanic activity and heat to pierce thru underground water aquifers to create giant steam clouds for rain and water and create greater density in the atmosphere with oxygen as an additional component. There will be all sorts of ideas of planting vegetation on Mars in 2006, so think on this.

The magic words I’ll reveal to you in a moment can manipulate a situation to bring you what you want — which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Magic Words Can Bring You Riches

The same words, strategies and techniques that I’ve used to get the best results from everyday situation — like hiring a Mercedes for the price of a Ford, slashing the cost of a first class hotel room, and buying valuable antiques at huge discounts — can work magic for your business, too. Here are 3 of the phrases, which have helped me build a career marketing over $500,000,000 of both my own and my client’s products and services.

Magic Phrase #1 — Attract All the Money You Need for any business venture you’d like to start. The magic words here are “sophisticated investor.” Every successful professional – such as a doctor or lawyer — likes to think of himself or herself as sophisticated. And you can often attract these people to invest in your business.

Run an ad in your local paper, high-lighting those two key words. Other magic phrases to include are “Local business person with excellent track record and reputable history”; start-up business opportunity, limited investment, high potential return”; and “references available.”

Magic Phrase #2 — Receive Free Expert Help for your business. Simply announce “I have a business problem and need expert assistance,” either to a local business group (such as the Chamber of Commerce, which you have in practically every town) or putting an advertisement in the business section of your local newspaper. And I’ve been absolutely delighted with the quality of assistance provided to me on several occasions by retired executives. Seek them out in your local area, and you could benefit from this great source of experienced know-how, too.

Magic Phrase #3 — Get Capable People to Work for Free. Your magic words here are “piece of the action.” Instead of paying a fixed salary, run ads offering people one of these options:

* Hourly rate for services rendered * Percentage of sales * Percentage of profits * Royalty on sales * Percentage of savings * Fixed payment for each unit produce

Anyone with a strong entrepreneurial instinct will be attracted by such an approach. It means there will be no limit on their income, they will be more independent, they can set their own hours — and the harder they work, the more they earn. This is just the type of person you should employ.

Assume The Other Person Has Already Said “Yes”

Ask questions which assume the end result you seek. For example, speaking with your bank manager about setting up a merchant account, you might ask these questions:

1. “How long does it normally take for a credit card charge to be credited to my account?”

2. “What discount or percentage of credit card sales will the bank charge us for your service?”

3. “How long would it take to get the service in place?”

4. “What equipment do we need to buy to make it easier for your bank to process our orders?”

Can you see how the end result — having a merchant account so you can process the credit card orders – is assumed by the very words used in each question?

And this is especially true when you’re speaking to yourself. As I said at the beginning of this letter, I use affirmations every day — standing up, looking to the sky, throwing my hands in the air, and shouting out a positive message I need to tell myself.

Yes, I feel ridiculous when I do this too. But that discomfort is just the push I need to change my emotional state. The magic words in my affirmations give me the energy and determination I need to produce my very best work. And I truly believe they’ll help you achieve your goals too.

Seven Signs You’ll Never Meet Someone

Do you think that there is just no one out there for you? The latest census in the U.S. puts the number of singles at 110 million. But if you feel hopeless about your situation, when you hear that statistic, a little voice in your head might be heard to say…”Yeah, but they don’t live here in my town.”

There are seven warning signs that tell you if you will be successful in meeting someone. In fact, this is how you spell W.A.R.N.I.N.G.:

* W is for Waiting.

Waiting for Mr. Right to knock on your door and sweep you away to a new life, or going to a party and waiting for Miss or Mr. Wonderful to find you, while you stand there mute and detached, will just keep you waiting. No one is going to find you. You have to find yourself, and then determine what you want. Turn that W for waiting into a W for Will Not give Up, and you become very attractive.

* A is for Assumptions

As a single, it is easy to make assumptions. You may assume that your friends and coworkers know that you want to meet someone since you have been alone for a long time. You may assume that if they knew someone they would introduce you. False. You have to ask people to introduce you. And when they forget, ask again, nicely. People get busy with their lives and need to be reminded. Some people won’t know anyone…but sooner or later, if you tell enough people, someone will know someone.

* R is for Running away.

If you do not have the life you love, you may be trying to run away by finding someone to take care of you, ease your burdens, and make you happy. This is a big sign that you will not find the person of your dreams, but rather, someone else who wants to be taken care of. (Like attracts like.) Instead of searching for the ideal person to make you happy, become the person you are looking for, make yourself happy, and notice how attractive you become to everyone.

* N stands for “No,” as in saying no to what doesn’t work for you.

The word no keeps activities, people, and places that are toxic to you out of your world. When you say no to what is not right for you, you can say yes to what is.

* I stands for Isolated, which is what singles become if they are not careful.

It takes, energy, planning, and courage to get out there, over and over, and meet people. It feels easier to stay home with the dog, watching TV, than to go out and have to talk to others. No one says you can’t stay home and enjoy yourself. But if you want a mate…you have to date. If you want to date, you have to develop your friendly factor, get out, go places, and network.

* N is for Negative.

No one wants to be around negativity. Listen carefully to your words; pay attention to your thought; examine your beliefs. Stay focussed on being cheerful, positive, and what is right with you.

* G is for Growth.

Stagnation is very unattractive. Personal growth, insight, and learning from the lessons life has delivered is what carries us into our new relationships of meaning and depth. Seek those who can teach you and open new windows into your inner self.

These seven warning signs tell you if you will be alone the rest of your life. If you don’t want to be, heed these signs and change your course…which can change your destiny. Someone is out there for you.

Discover the Rapture of Being Alive this Christmas

Have all of the tragic events of this year changed how you are approaching this Christmas season and the rest of your life?

Joseph Campbell said, in the book, the Power of Myth, “People say that what we’re all seeking is a meaning for life. I don’t think that’s what we’re really seeking. I think that what we’re seeking is an experience of being alive, so
that our life experiences on the purely physical plane will have resonance within our own innermost being and reality, so that we actually feel the rapture of being alive.”

I believe that as children we are all naturally in touch with the “rapture of being alive.” It’s when we grow up that many of us slowly begin to fall asleep. We make choices that aren’t our own, stay in relationships or jobs that don’t fit who we are and, we forget how to play. Many of us end up living a “full” but “unfulfilling” life. This continually dampens the rapture for life that we were all born with.

Many say that Christmas is for children. If you have children in your life try to spend some time and observe them this Christmas. Experience their excitement and enthusiasm for life. Let them reconnect you to the dreams and wishes you once had as a child. Perhaps that is where the gift of rapture lies… in the spirit of childhood.

Maybe it’s time to bring those childhood dreams out of the box you shelved away so many years ago. Breathe new life back into them. This could be the greatest gift you give to yourself, your family and the world this Christmas

Know to Grow Your Income

With over a million Realtors® in the United States, it is getting harder and harder to stand out from the crowd. What can you do so that customers and fellow Realtors® know you, choose you and recommend you? You can make a good living simply by taking floor time and doing open houses. However to make a quantum leap in your income you need to have satisfied customers and other Realtors® referring you. Focusing on the following three points will help you become more successful.

Know Yourself

To powerfully communicate the benefits of choosing you over other Realtors®, you really need to know yourself and learn how to communicate what makes you unique in a few succinct phrases.

Begin by taking one of the many personality tests that are readily available, such as: DISC, Keirsey Temperment Sorter, or Myers-Briggs, among others. You can find these easily by doing a search on the internet. These tests can give you great insight into your strengths and weaknesses. They help you understand your core values and personality type. Understanding who you are may help you distinguish yourself from the competition and can be the foundation for communicating your unique value and your personal brand.

Your personal brand or image is a combination of your passions, strengths, skills and traits. Spend some time getting to know your self:

• Write a list of your personal passions. What do you love doing? (Is it interior design, teaching, art, music, golfing, football, reading, travel? Don’t worry about whether or not it is work related.)

• What are your skills and talents? (Are you perceptive, spontaneous, theatrical, detail-oriented, organized, do you speak other languages? Again, don’t limit these to your work).

• Write a list of your personal traits. (Perhaps you are punctual, or a “people person”. Are you optimistic, open minded, curious, determined, spiritual, or team oriented?)

Look at your list from your customer’s point of view. Which of these qualities that you have identified would be valuable to your customer? Take those items and use them to help you create a few concise sentences explaining your unique value to your customers.

Use this knowledge to also help you find a niche market something you really love. Is it new construction, foreclosures, first time buyers, seniors, ethnicities, locales? Once you find your niche, become an expert in that area. That doesn’t mean that you can’t sell outside of your niche. However, the more expertise you gain, the more likely you are to become well known in your field. It is not uncommon for other customers even other realtors, to say “Oh, you need Joe. He knows everything about new construction.” These personal recommendations can be the most inexpensive and effective marketing tools.

Know Your Customer

To be able to truly meet and exceed a customer’s needs and wants you have to know that customer. In your effort to gain this knowledge you need to gather information. The more you know the more you can meet your customer’s needs, both stated and unstated.

Start broadly and then get more specific. A good source for information is The 2003 National Association of Realtors® Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers. It has chapters on the characteristics of home buyers and sellers.

Then, start to narrow your research. Learn about the community in which you sell. Become involved in community events. Pitch in, support and help your community grow, while learning about its unique qualities. These activities not only help you learn about the community, they bolster your image as a valuable member. People like to do business with helpful people they know and with whom they can identify.

After you understand the broad information about your customers and their communities, you need to listen to what they say. Sounds easy, doesn’t it? Customers often complain about feeling the agent didn’t listen carefully to their requests or needs. Listening is an art. It goes beyond the obvious. Customers aren’t always great at communicating clearly; they sometimes don’t even know what they really want or need. You need to listen with all your senses in order to unearth and translate their true needs and wants. It isn’t sufficient to just hear the words your customers say. You need to watch body language, be sensitive to tone of voice and try to interpret their sometimes vague descriptions. By asking carefully constructed questions you can actually help the customer better understand his or her needs.

Know Your Team

Customers are becoming more and more demanding. You need a team that meets these ever increasing demands. Customers expect you to recommend the RIGHT person for their needs. These people must not only match your personal brand/image (they are in effect representing you), they also must have unique qualities that meet the needs of your customer. I know of one Realtor who has three mortgage brokers he trusts and recommends. He has a “three piece suit guy,” he has a HOG (Harley owners group) and a dynamic woman. He mixes and matches the team member to the specific customer. This is done so that each customer can feel totally comfortable. You should also have a trusted team of insurance providers, painters, plumbers, and stagers to call on. Basically, the more one-stop you can be for your customers the happier they will be. Spend time with each of these people. Ask questions. Get recommendations. Do research and background checks.

Be sure to spend time each day learning more about these three keys to success. They are the most powerful way to be a Realtor® that others want to do business with and refer to their friends and family. Remember you need to Know to Grow Your Income!
